You may opt to provide personal information to bookmob.ca through this site. This information may include your e-mail address, billing address, shipping address(es), phone number, and credit card data. You may be asked to provide this data when registering an account, signing up for newsletters and alerts or contacting BookMob via E-mail. Users may browse the Site in order to view our products and services without committing to providing any personal information.
How Information is Used
We will use personal information to fulfill your orders for textbook rentals (and related services), provide customer support, and further communicate with you. If you have opted to receive information about our products and services, we may contact your periodically with these updates. You are free to opt-out at any time from receiving this information by logging into the "My Account section, and un-checking the appropriate box.
BookMob will not under any circumstances disclose your personal information to third parties without your consent. We do not sell customer lists or any other customer information for marketing purposes, and will not do so without your written permission.
We may share personal information we collect strictly for business purposes with companies that provide administrative, shipping and marketing services for us or on our behalf. These individuals or companies are permitted, by contract, only to provide the specific services we have requested of them.
Bookmob.ca maintains no responsibility for the privacy practices or content of any websites linked through this Site. In the event that you click on a banner or link to an alternate website, you will be subject to the privacy policies of these third party websites.
In certain cases, BookMob may share your personal information as required, or permitted by law. This may include sharing your personal information with third parties if we believe this is necessary to defend our legal rights, defend against legal claims, or otherwise protect the rights and property of Bookmob.ca or any of our suppliers.
Protecting Your Privacy
Bookmob.ca employs reasonable security measures and practices to ensure that the personal information submitted to us remains protected, both during transmission and once received. The Site utilizes 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt your data during transmission, enforcing a secured connection. All servers are protected by firewalls, and are maintained on secure premises. In order to further secure your personal information:
- We will cross-check all username(s)/e-mail(s) provided with the submitted password in order to validate access to any Bookmob.ca account
- We encourage you to choose a password that will not easily be determined by an outside user. Always remember to keep your password safe, and do not share it with anyone else. You will be held responsible for any account activity that takes place while signed in. Your password, and any other account information can be changed by accessing your details within the "Account Settings" section of your account.
- We ask that you remember to sign-out during periods of inactivity. Any user that has access to your computer after you have signed in, and before you have either signed out or your session has timed-out will have access to your account and any personal information therein.
In the event that you believe your password or account has been compromised by an unauthorized party, you must contact BookMob immediately. We will follow the appropriate legal procedures where applicable in order to help protect our user's personal information and privacy. In the event that BookMob determines that it is reasonably possible that your information has been compromised, we will issue a consumer notification to the user via e-mail, phone, or in writing.
Updating Your Personal Information
You can access, review and update all personal information stored by BookMob from within the "My Account" section of the Site.
BookMob may post testimonials on our Site that contain personally identifiable information about a user, including their name, school and photo. We will request permission from all user's prior to posting their testimonial within our website. In the event our customer decides they wish to remove their testimonial, we will comply with this request immediately.
